I think Chris has some really good ideas here. I did turn a test with the dummy load at the far end of the coax the other day. The amp didn't seem quite as happy as with the dummy load in the shack but almost. I will repeat that test since I have made changes to the amp since. I would like to see what happens with the dummy load on the other side of the matching transformer set for 1:1.
