After nearly 10 months of planning and work, I am able to make my
first transmissions on LF! I am running 10 watts from the
transmitter. EIRP is a bit less than the claimed 0.1 watt.
I am having some difficulty which I do not yet understand. It could be the antenna (arcing), the coax, the amplifier (oscillating), the scopematch (lying) or some combination of these things. :) I can say that I do not trust the little amplifier. Mine clearly does not behave as the designer says it should, so it is suspect. I will leave WSPR running tonight for as long as things remain acceptably stable at this power level. I have a CW ID at the end of each WSPR transmission. If anyone can hear the CW, please let me know! 73, Paul N1BUG |
