Hello Alan,

For further "experimental data", on 518 kHz NAVTEX only stations from the north at a distance below 1000 km were received last night. Norlandet at 1374 km away, did not appear at all, where it is a very regular guest otherwise.

It is interesting to note that a perfect decode was received from Miami, 7000+ km away at 04:05 UTC.

What is also interesting is that my PERSEUS spectrum window from 0 - 40 MHz showes depressed signals above 2 MHz.
The average level is 10 - 20 dB below normal.

These SDR's lent themselves very well for wideband propagation study!
