Hello Andy,I have been asking the same question for years, but so far nothing has been revealed. I was given two defunct units and on one I have started to remove the potting compound with a lino cutter. This is very time consuming and other projects got priority.There is a kind of transformer inside, but I will have to dig a little further. Terry, I will replace the original Wellbrook design with the design of LZ1AQ which can be found here: http://www.lz1aq.signacor.com/docs/wsml/wideband-active-sm-loop-antenna.htm I have made a PCB that fits inside the plastic casing.
