Dear Chris, Stefan, LF Group,The high current ranges on DMMs often have considerably poorer accuracy than the DC volts ranges. Another source of power measurement error is the dummy load; both its actual resistance value at the operating frequency, and, with high RF powers, the change in resistance due to temperature rise will cause changes in RF output and/or measurement errors. I have an old Bird 1kW load that appears to change resistance by a few percent when running at maximum rating. Cheers, Jim Moritz73 de M0BMU |
