Dear Chris, Stefan, LF Group,

The high current ranges on DMMs often have considerably poorer accuracy than the DC volts ranges. Another source of power measurement error is the dummy load; both its actual resistance value at the operating frequency, and, with high RF powers, the change in resistance due to temperature rise will cause changes in RF output and/or measurement errors. I have an old Bird 1kW load that appears to change resistance by a few percent when running at maximum rating.
