It appears the diurnal phase shifts are more elusive than I had hoped and from the muchly appreciated information from Markus, Jim, Stefan, Paul and others, I believe if they ever return, it might take a while. In the mean time, it is hoped the following has been set up properly and might provide alternate entertainment for VLF EbNaut enthusiasts. 2300, 1100 utc, 16K23A, CRC-21, one character, 784 symbols, 30 seconds each, 8.2700075 kHz starting 12 Jan 2018 at 2300 ut and continuing until further notice or unforseen natural catastrophy. 30 watts TX output, 10 uW ERP to a 100m rotated L at 15 m mean height.
