Stephan, I'm all in favour of 'proper' sensible radio experimenting, but not if it includes highly illegal connexions to motorway guard rails, railway equipment, fences, pylons, gas lines or metal bridges etc.. That is not experimenting, but trespassing, for which you can get a very long jail sentence if you get caught on camera. A very long jail sentence would be the right punishment for this form of reckless and selfish irresponsibility. Ask the RSGB and Ofcom their views on this. Regards, David. From: DK7FC <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, 11 January 2019, 14:51 Subject: LF: Experimenting.. Do you really? How many, make a guess. What are they waiting for? What is experimenting? Isn't it doing some steps on new territory, just out of interest? Doesn't experimenting mean that you know that you can fail or that you can have success with your experiments? And that failing doesn't matter because the experiments are most interesting in themselves, so actually there can be no failing because doing the experiment is the success! So, is an experimenter who wants to "save a lot of unnecessary trouble" an experimenter at all? 73, Stefan |
