I notice from recent T/A west to east, W4DEX + VO1NA continue with good S/N well into daylight. Also we don't see good S/N before 23:00 or 00:00. The path seems to start late and finish late. Perhaps the same is true of east to west? We just don't know. This frequency, this path, this distance, all completely new and we have no carrier tests to guide us. > f = 17470.1000 Hz > Start time: 07.Dec.2017 21:30:00 UTC > Symbol period: 60 s > Characters: 1 > CRC bits: 10 > Coding 16K21A The transmission has started then. Reasonable settings and I hope the early start doesn't lose too much. We'll see. Yes, the list should be long enough to always get an output (optimum list length setting). And you're right, 1 out of 52 is the chance of false positive in that case. My mistake, I must have been thinking of rank 0. -- Paul Nicholson -- |
