FB WX today so the far halyard on the rotated L was taken in for
another increase in the average height of the aerial. This is the
first change since 25 Oct. The aerial current did not increase and
the inductance for peak current actually increased which seems a bit
strange. Perhaps the trees are to blame!
Thank-you for the reports, Paul. With more tinkering, the lower
winter QRN and luck, Stefan, Markus and Jacek will have
success with the tiny signal.
The phase seems to be jumping about a bit. This could be due to the
wx as the feedback to SL is still via a 1k instead of a pick-up antenna.
Let's see what happens tonight and then we can try some more EbNaut.

I don't see any daytime signal at all recently. Nighttime signal
is quite repeatable, except for 31/1st when there was no trace
of the carrier - perhaps it was off?
The last two nights the signal is distinctly stronger, did you
make some improvements Joe?
Paul mentioned 2.4 and 1.6 electrons on the E probe last spring.
Are these numbers per photon?
No, the total induced charge on the E-field probe. At radio and audio
frequencies, photons have absolutely miniscule energy.
If the recent night S/N continues, combined E and H receivers make it
reasonable to try 5 chars of 16K23A with CRC-18 and 26 second symbols,
starting at 23:00 and finishing 07:05:20. Expected Eb/N0 would be
around 0dB.
