Well, you can call it high Q but in the first way the aim is a high L that holds a high voltage. I need 56 H at that frequency, quite an effort for hand wound air gapped coil :-)
With that load of material i can do many interesting experiments below 4 kHz...


If so what is the best geometry for the coil for that frequency?
So far i took a mofied mains transformer which has a 1 mm air gap and 0.5 mm plates. At 5 kV / 15 mA antenna current it became quite warm already. To make the next distance step i need 10 dB QRO or so. In the end i should reach at least 30 kV, then i think Paul and DL0AO will be able to receive me. No, no calculations!
