Very well Paul. A 15 dB improvement.
Maybe Jacek will have much better results as well, when improving the filters. and Eddie/G3ZJO?!

The 17470.1 Hz signal from DK7FC is quite disappointing here
in Todmorden. I was expecting lots of ERP and a great S/N.

Daytime S/N is between -28dB and -20dB in 1Hz.
Daytime phase repeats within about +/- 25 deg.

Nighttime, S/N is poor, best is about -29 dB and about
half the nights it is not significant above noise.

When applying the new filter, what are the S/N results from that older carrier transmission?

I notched out JXN and HWU (or whatever it's called) with

vtfilter -e eqmap -h bp,f=17470,w=3000 -h bs,f=16400,w=600 -hbs,f=18300,w=800

and re-ran. Blanker drop factor went from 2.5% to 18% and now
decodes with Eb/N0 = 26.8 dB!

Maybe that's the problem with this band then, just getting
the right filtering before the blanker.
