Yes , The PC com-port is one of the keying options , with the txd/dtr/rxd being selectable , two com ports may be selected , to allow for station tx/rx and data keying ( I think the same port can be selected twice with different txd/dtr/rxd options selected for each function) Gary may use this ?)

The other option is the conventional audio/Rf translation by way of SSB Tx , using usb , the audio / carrier frequency using this facility is placed by a scanning routine in the lowest s/n part of the audio band in use , to prevent collisions etc.

com-port keying , is as per normal vfo/dds operation , ensuring the carrier is placed to coincide with the appropriate rx audio pass band , when the Rx is set usb at the normal operating qrg .

PS: Is the PC keyed by the RS232 port? Or what? Free choice of the TX line (TXD or DTR or RXD...) ?
