Thanks for all the info Graham locally we have Chris G3XIZ on and now me it only leaves Dennis MoJXM who I am sure will get into this, I mailed him today ........... via this medium.

The Rig I described it is capable of much higher power (depending upon output FET currently an IR840?) with increase in PA voltage it's currently got 12volts applied. Because I use 7812 voltage regulators for the logic stages they will only stand about 25volts max, with this rig, limits the power to around 30 to 40 Watts O/P. Suppose I could separate the supply to the PA and get a lot more from the device I supose.
The output goes straight into the aerial 100mm diameter transformer via a short coax lead then to 2 link turns, then from the "Top" of the transformer to the up lead which goes through teflon insulating washers throught the wall and straight up  to the 8inch ribbed glass insulator about 35 feet then on a slope to a 24foot mast (soon to increased to 35feet). Tuned against several long earthing wires.

Ok  Pete,

These are all  the  decodes  I have , I was using the  Skanti  r5003  Rx  with    40 ft alloy scaffold  pole   vertical  , no  atu , only  the  pre-selector  in the  rx , fed vis  abt  90 feet of  rg213 coax

Good  signal  for  10 watts  , just on the  edge  for the  qso  mode  , at  -20 dB  minimum , but  15 watts  would  do  the  job !

As I say  its  the  only  plug-and-play   data  mode  , just plug in place of the  CW key  ( the  development  was  based on the  racal  ma1723  , in  CW mode at  20  wpm  as the maximum   keying  speed and  envelope  shape)

Hi Graham

Yes very pleased with it so far I will change power soon trying to make up a PWM cct to have a continuously variable power on the rig (GW3UEP) Class E Fet O/P stage Gate. PC not crashed .... wait for it! .... for a bit now actually done nothing to stop it....... weird.
I have only just got my head around opera......  thought it was a linear mode but this makes sense for LF comms. much more like a CW transmission which I like.

Thanks for all the info on opera btw.

Wow   and that  was  just using the  Op  w/fall !  You  could  reduce to  2 watts   and  still  decode !

Glad the  system  is  working  for  you

Thanks Paul

Graham is right about QRG.

My PC keeps crashing so may go back to QRSS3 using my HB PIC keyer (not affected by RF) on the same QRG. Thanks fer looking.

What is the actual tx qrg then?
Just for exactly looking if the signal is visible at all.
