Dear Pete, Chris, LF Group,----- Original Message ----- From: "M0FMT" <[email protected]> ...>If you mix the 1500hz tone up to 500 kc/s conventionally don't you get +/- 1500hz tone as the product. i.e. upper and lower sideband? Yes......>Thus the reason I suggested a Tayloe (for the want of a better description) detector in reverse which resolves the unwanted sideband issue. I dont think a straight forward product mixer will do. That is essentially what G4JNT's simple phasing upconverter design ( http://www.g4jnt.com/LFUpconv.pdf ) mentioned previously does. ...>A simple phase modulator using two 8meg xtals by G3ZJO is shown on a web page the URL in my last mail. Well more of a frequency modulator, but this generates a 1500Hz modulated audio output from a PIC code generator. I think G3XIZ already has the 1500Hz modulated audio available from his existing PC, he just needs a way to get it onto 500kHz. Cheers, Jim Moritz73 de M0BMU |
