Dear Paul, Wolf,
 
talked to Stefan on the cellphone about an hour ago. You can imagine he was overjoyed, I was actually worried he'd jump right up and fly off with his kite!
He mentioned he had been attempting QRSS 10 for DF8ZR up to about 16:30, and has switched to 120 second dots since. Noise is slowly building up on both grabbers, but the signal is still well above it.

Or, mix of ground and sky wave, very slight Doppler separating 
the two paths as the D-layer starts its evening performance?
