Peter, An article called Low Frequency Coil Q, by Bill Bowers, is reproduced in the Low Frequency Experimenter's Handbook, Page 65 That's probably where I saw it, as I didn't belong to the LWCA back when Bill wrote a lot of those articles. And Jim makes a very good point -- the U.S. work done at the 1 watt level may help you create an excellent flamethrower at 1 kw. Thought has to be given to breakdown voltages. John Andrews |
