That was me. I wasn't decoding because I don't yet have a decoder. Had I had one, and given the snr I observed, I would have expected 100% copy. On the few occasions I have heard Mal, his snr has not

I was getting 579 from BOSTON/USA from NC1K on 137 khz over the years on CW which I thought was good using simple equipment like a manual morse key, home built mosfet class D TX/PA and an inv L anten

WSPR reports amongst stns indicate reception reports usually minus dB. Most of these stations are usually PLUS dB with me or very close to that figure. So what does that prove. I would say it depends
