Thanks for the generous words and I'm relieved that none
of the resident experts have spotted any ghastly errors.

I hope I've dispelled some of the mystery but retained all
the magic. It remains no less fascinating to see a message
decode from deep under the noise, perhaps more so when
knowing how it works.

contact with amateur radio - I'm not sure where else to post.

Added links to the random codebooks I've been using. For those
who enjoy programming, it's fun and quite easy to make up a
simple program to simulate the baseband comms.

(I did that myself a couple of years ago - a little program to
help me learn about FEC... it evolved into EbNaut).
