Every radio amateur should have 3 phase to take care of all eventualities
You must be able to apply pressure when
You hear rare DX to avoid disappointment
Avoid single phase when serious about long haul
DX
The above is a quote from Chunkok wireless

Ok. Large is relative. I mean something that can be run from a normal 230V mains socket :-) (single phase!)
It would be easy to build a transformer, a termination resistor, a MOSFET driver IC as a simple PA stage, a CLC pi filter... That would rise the level to 20 dBm and allows to connect the PA you're using for Opera so far.
If you can use an iPhone, you could do that too ;-) Just a thought.

Hi Mal,

Then continue to transmit. I bet there is more DX possible, even with that low power level.
Will you build an exciter to drive your real PA?
You could make it to FR5ZX, nearly 10000 km!

My congratulations! So now how do you generate that signal? A Raspi? That could explain the SNR. I guess you will add some 10 dB soon? :-)
Tell us!
