Hello Mike,

> I have been informed that Peter Dodd, G3LDO, died last night.
> Peter was very active in the early days of LF, making the first two-
> way QSO on 73kHz and being part of a very early transatlantic
> contact on the 136kHz band. He compiled several early collections of
> articles on low frequency operating, including The LF Experimenter's
> Handbook which was published by the RSGB in 2000.
> Many of you will also know his numerous books and articles on
> antennas.
> Those who met him will remember him as a real gentleman. I had the
> privilege to work with him on RadCom and various books.
> A sad loss to amateur radio.

Being both too new to the hobby, and more specifically to LF to know
this gentleman either personally or through on air contacts I have
read some of his works and his enthusiasm, knowledge, clarity and
humour were very apparent. Condolences to his family and friends, who
are obviously very numerous and sincere.
