Thread-topic: [rsgb_lf_group] Peter Dodd, G3LDO, SK

Very sad news.

I had a lot of QSO's with Peter in the early 136kHz period and in 2008-2010 also a couple on 500kHz.

His LF Experiments handbook and RadCom articles were (and still are) a source of inspiration to most of us.

RIP

I have been informed that Peter Dodd, G3LDO, died last night.

Peter was very active in the early days of LF, making the first two-
way QSO on 73kHz and being part of a very early transatlantic
contact on the 136kHz band. He compiled several early collections of
articles on low frequency operating, including The LF Experimenter's
Handbook which was published by the RSGB in 2000.

Many of you will also know his numerous books and articles on
antennas.

Those who met him will remember him as a real gentleman. I had the
privilege to work with him on RadCom and various books.

A sad loss to amateur radio.
