Ok Mal,
We will have to watch and wait, may be the
allocation is not a popular as first
anticipated , after all , what articles have been
published about using the band ? no lectures at
the convention on lf/mf or mention in the
programme .. with John Gould out of the loop
is all this on the back burner ?
With 5 working days left and no
hint as to how to renew the nov or
not as the case may be , strange compared to
the progress made round the 5 meg band
, surely the data mountain must be
bigger than the eec butter mountain by now ? , may
be we will all be entitled to a
few byte's ?

Graham
I can work Moscow on normal CW on LF and MF so
QRSS 60000000000 and Beacon Bashing is not necessary. Things are going backwards
since the bands were first licensed some years ago.
It is difficult to find a CW operator these days on these
bands
Still no reply to my CQ on 136.5

There you go , Mal , see these new
qso operators , not quite got the
idea yet , you have to wait for
the other station to stop sending ,
before calling them ...

LF/ MF
I
guess there's still no definitive word from OfCom regarding the new MF band
NOV's (?)
It's
a possibility that the UK will be an MF-free zone over the New Year's
holiday period . .
With
that eventuality in mind I've dusted off my old LF TRX and am at present
transmitting a test signal:
QRSS-3
on 137.69 kHz
I
shall put out a few CQ's tonight on LF and would be overjoyed to receive any
response.
