It depends on the distance to the next strongest VLF transmitter which may be DHO38 or JXN for you. For me it is DHO38 and HWU. I think that 70 dB should be fine. No problem for a standard soundcard. From my observations i can say that the sferics amplitude has ever been lower than the strongest MSK transmitter. It may be 30 dB above the noise of a quiet day but not 100 dB or so.Will strong sferics be a problem [...]? 73, Stefan |
