Wow, now i can see the lightnings and hear the thunder. It comes closer!
Just take it as a challenge Mal, the QRSS-3 window runs a AGC so you still can overcome the QRN even if the upper part is completely white! :-)

The grabbers PA3BCA, G3YXM and G4WGT look FB in spite of hvy QRN and I am not having a problem, although I am getting teriffic QRN crashes !! heavy rain here all day long.

I do not get this problem with my wire antennas, it copes with all eventualities
