Hello Stefan, Thanks for the good wishes and advice. Eddie G3ZJO (about 50 km) is looking for my signal. The aerial current is about 0.15 A and the TX power about 100 watts RF. I have built an off air frequency standard which is locked to Droitwich (198 kHz) It has a 10 kHz output and maybe I can use that in future for more precise frequency generation. I am presently making a more efficient loading coil which should be ready soon. 73 Chris G3XIZ From: Stefan Schäfer <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 27 February, 2011 18:23:33 Subject: Re: VLF: G3XIZ on 8970 Hz Hello Chris, I wish you good luck! What will be your antenna current and what is the current maximum TX power? Do you have enough RX stations in a radius of some 100 km? If you want to do a test in transmitting a 24 hours accurate carrier, i could set up a "60000" window at your frequency. But it only makes sense if your TX is locked to a MSK transmitter (e.g. GBZ) or GPS. A OCXO or so is drifting much to strong for a 47 uHz window. I see a real chance to see a trace of you if you send a 24 hour carrier, locked. 73, Stefan/DK7FC Am 27.02.2011 17:14, schrieb Chris Osborn:
