The ON4KST chat system provides a very useful instant communication system for Meteor Scatter, EME, and Low band operators. I use it for my main interest 4/6 m MS.

The Low band facility is also available for VLF operation. The system allows for direct, instant communication between operators in setting up skeds etc. and getting an instant feel for band activity.  It is free to use (donations welcome) and managed excellently by ON4KST and peer pressure. All the usual rules of conducting a valid QSO without “cheating” apply and any abuse would be obvious to other users and not tolerated.

I realise there will be those who have been on the LF reflector since it started and will not seen any reason to change to something new. Therefore  I hope this email will not trigger a pointless debate on the reflector about the pros and cons, appliance operators etc etc.

All I can say is just try it and see.
