Hello Roelof,

It is an honour for me to have the answer directly from the author of this little magic thing. I didn't realize that you are on the group as well. How long did it take you to develop it? Or was it just a fluke? Do you think of some further improvements? For example, make it symetrical, or something? In any way, I believe no other thing is currectly so much discussed as your Mini-Whip. Congrats.

Hello Petr,

That is a nice photo on a nice location.
I am looking forward to hear of your findings.

I have been using one for six years now in a suburban environment.
Though just 6 meter from the house and five meter up, I have had amazing
catches at LF.
I have had aural copy from NDB IPA on Easter Island in the Pacific that
transmitted on 280 kHz.
This station has only been logged by three listeners in Europe.
One used a beverage, the other a K9AY and yours truly a mini-whip.

And also solid decodes on NAVTEX at 518 kHz from Japan, China and Taiwan.

So, yes, the antenna seems to work!

Roelof, pa0rdt
