Thanks to Stefan and Clemens for the helpful info. Tonight the RX with the 100m wire was used to copy the Alpha sigs on 11.905 kHz at about 20 dB above the noise. The RX is noticibly less sensitive at 8.97 kHz, but there is still much QRN there. The calibration of the RX and sound card seem good to within 0.5 Hz. Eventually a loop will be tried with the sound card. 73 Joe |
