Dear Mal, Personally I have found WSPR to be a most useful tool when exploring LF propagation and station improvements. The most valuable part has being able to go on the air and almost instantly get feedback (via the WSPR database) about quite subtle changes to my station. The change to my antenna a couple of days ago was an example when the reports from M0BMU and G7NKS immediately told me that a real step change improvement had been achieved. Amateur radio is about experiments, new challenges etc. WSPR has allowed me to try some simple, but valuable, experiments these last few weeks on 500kHz and I am grateful for Joe Taylor for having provided such a useful tool to do these with and for all the open minded and kind amateurs here who have helped me on my way. 73s Roger G3XBM 2009/11/8 mal hamilton <[email protected]>
