What is the difference (for others) between beaconing and a shear
endless QRSS CQ-call or QSO.
If that signal is S9+ and near the band centre it blocks in both
cases a good part of the band for weak CW reception.
I do not see any good reason to transmit QRSS near 502.5kHz.

G3KEV does not use BEACON MODE. I call CQ on 502.57 QSK QSK QSK

I use NORMAL CW but do respond to QRS 3 at times when I have no
other choice, certainly not my preferred mode.
I do not operate slower than qrs3.

Dear Andy,
I don't think there is a formal band plan as such, but informally, data
modes and QRSS usually inhabit the range 503.0 - 504.0, the centre of CW
activity is 502.5, some stations use the 501.0 - 502.0 kHz range for beacon
transmission, and 502.57 is G3KEV...

Is there some sort of unofficial bandplan on this band?
