How would you make the earphone, what bits would you use. How exactly would you use the razor blade, edge, broadside, for actual connection in cct and how would you tweak it for max sensitivity. Dont know why you ask about AM, MF LF etc. This sort of device is not likely to be any good on vhf.
I already know all the answers. I am  asking you and others how would you do it. So far no one has described how to to build one and set it up.
A telephone earpiece is not on the shopping list. You have to describe how to make it. I will give you a clue, its a hiZ device, not like modern types.
You have no junk box, you have to gather up the pieces lying around or would find in a trench or P0W camp.
I can see now why noone could pass an examination except it was multiple choice type with all the  answers in front of the canditate

OK Mal

What actually is the challenge then?

Just to make an RX using a razor blade as the guys in Coldiz did?
An Rx to receive AM broadcast stations on the Medium wave or Long wave BC bands?
I think that RX has been described previously in these exchanges.
Or are you asking for one to be actually made and demonstrated?
Or do you just want a shopping list of things to be stolen of their captors to make the RX? Together with a technical description of how the whole thing works?
Shopping list like:- Razor blade, wire, telephone earpiece, pencil, safety pin, sliver paper for cap etc? But in more detail, the razor blade being a bit of a Red Herring because most oxides on metal surfaces will exhibit a none linear conduction characteristic required for AC rectification e.g the rusty nail effect beloved by the old C&G RAE..

Or have you got a "Smart Alec" solution?

Please specify!

Please answer the question. I did not ask if it could be used on 500 at
present., but if so one would TX using MCW or Keyed Tone and old spy tric.
