Chris - I have used something similar to Alan but with clear labels. Although not a close-up, you can see the results on my 2200m TX and Wattmeter in the first picture here: http://www.imagenisp.ca/jsm/2200mstn.html Further to what Alan suggests, you can also purchase 'decal' paper that can be used with your laser printer (maybe bubble-jet as well?) to print out labels that can then be cut, soaked and positioned on your panel appropriately.
