I am using a rather old Kenwood TS940 with Dave,s pre- amp which performs very well with a built in 270 Hz crystal-filter combined with the built in Audio Peak Filter which reduces a lot of noise .The S-meter calibration will be 50 microvolts for S9 if you put an adjustable attenuator ( a simple potmeter will do ) between the pre-amp and the receiver . 73,William PA0WFO ################################### Thanks for this, William. Yes, this is what I am going to try - quick and easy. Next to get the antenna resonated properly! 73s Martin GW3UCJ. |
