Hello Mike and the list!
Good initiative and very instructive about all equipments
at the present time used to be "hip" ;-)
At this time the receive station except for some selective
voltmeters like SPM3 and SPM60 ( Wandel & Goltermann),
i use a FT 847 centered on 5 MHz and a converter. The mixer
is a SRA-8 ( MCL) to be in front of a BPF 7 poles cheb. design,
0.2 dB ripple (i am located very near a big marine transmitter).
The RX BW is 250 Hz ( optianal xtal filter).
The receive antenna is a loop built with a old 5/8 coax cable
(6 turns and 2meter diameter) to keep a high Q ( ~500).
All this equipments are not fully finish at this time ( more on the
bench like on the air!), i count on the next leaves...
"To be continued..."
