It can make a significant difference in the matching if you QSY by 100 Hz, when using a high Q and low capacitive (i.e. small) antenna, especially when class-E PAs are used ;-) Thus i think people concentrate on matching the antenna once and then want to focus on the QSO process instead of retuning during the night.Hello Mal, all Yes I do understand working split can be very useful when a station has several callers.
