Hello Bruce,
Thanks for your interest and the recent decode.
Well, the old version works but IZ7SLZ and DF6NM found a solution to
use the wsprd.exe and some dlls out of the latest WSJT-X version
together with a small script that allows to upload the decodes. This
way you can use the highest performing WSPR decoder at WSPR-15 and
upload the spots.
Just install the old WSPR-X software a second time on your PC, e.g.
into C:/wsprx2/ . Leave the old installation as it is, so you won't
loose a decode during the experimentation with the latest software. If
you can't find it, DF6NM has placed one on his page:
http://df6nm.bplaced.net/wspr/WSPRX_08r3058.exe
Then, install the latest WSJT-X version.
Then, replace and copy some files from WSJT-X to WSPR-X, details from
DF6NM at http://df6nm.bplaced.net/wspr/replace_wsprd_for_wsprx_r3058.txt
For the realisation of uploads, place these lines into an executable
.bat file:
:loop
@if exist wspr_spots.txt type wspr_spots.txt >>wsprd.out &
del wspr_spots.txt & echo %time%
@sleep 2
@goto loop
Then, it should all work and maybe you can get a decode where the old
decoder fails. I let it run for a day or so but there were only 2
decodes found by the new one that the old one misses.
That should be all. Just ask if there are open questions.

Hi Guys….haven’t been paying
too much attention to the WSPR posts of late,
but with the weekend
approaching, I want to try something a little different.
Will my current WSPR-X
software v0.8 r3058 work, or do I need to download
a more recent version? I have
WSPR-15 mode for 2200M running now.
