Thread-topic: [rsgb_lf_group] Re: LF: SlowJT9 update (v0.9.10): tuning issue solved

Hi Paul,

you discovered another but !!!

As mentioned before the max audio limit was set to 1400Hz (to avoid collisions with WSPR). This was done by setting the decoders max. frequency parameter to 1400Hz for JT9-1 and 2800Hz for JT9-2. But since the JT9-2/JT9-1 ratio now is 2.2222 the max. frequency  parameter should be 1400*2.2222 =3111Hz.

Since that isn't done (it's still 2800Hz in version 0.9.10) the maximum JT9-2 frequency is 2800/2.2222 = 1260hZ for now.

This will be fixed in the next release of SlowJT9.

Update: It seems the new AF limit for JT9-2 is somewhere between
1250 and 1300 Hz. 1250 decodes, 1300 does not.

This may explain why my JT9-10 test did not work. It may not be
possible to get low enough AF for decoding without being below the
SlowJT9 minimum AF.

Paul
