Unfortunately no more Bavarian decodes last night Jan 7/8, it was just too noisy. However the daytime carrier was well visible again at DL0AO, and also detectable in 21 uHz at DF6NM.

Best 73,
Markus (DF6NM)

Hi Markus, Paul, VLF

3rd attempt this night.
Same parameters, 18:30 UTC, 560mA

All the best

Hi Paul, Markus, VLF
Thanks Paul, fantastic sensitivity as usual!
And thanks Markus for your report: for the first time this morning I've seen my carrier on DL0AO grabbers (424uHz NS+V). Great!
I'm on air again for another attempt, same parameters, start time 18:30 UTC, 560mA.

All the best

Hi Ric,

the north-south antenna at DL0AO delivered an obviously correct decode at rank 0 and 2.1 dB Eb/N0. The DF6NM receiver in Nuremberg briefly flashed up the correct decode stating rank 289 and -1.7 dB, but it was later superseded by stronger false decodes. Note that the data files from both sites happened to be slightly short, covering about 97 % of the sequence duration.

Best 73,
Markus (DF6NM)

Gain from the new PA with increased antenna current is clear
in the signal measured at Todmorden.

Todmorden (1412.5 km)
---------------------

05/06 Eb/N0 +9.4 dB, S/N -24.7 dB/1Hz, phase -141.8 *Decoded*

Previous S/N:
17/18 -31.5 dB/1Hz;
18/19 -29.5 dB/1Hz;
19/20 -27.9 dB/1Hz;
20/21 -30.9 dB/1Hz;

Average improvement +5.3 dB;

Bielefeld (845.3 km)
