Hi Alex,

thanks for clearing up that mistake - so the VK4YB spots were also listed wrongly on 137 kHz.

Regarding WSPR-15 vs Opera-32, here are 50% detection thresholds, measured with a constant non-fading signal against Gaussian white noise in 2.5 kHz:

WSPR-15: -38 dB (carrier),
Opera-32: -40 dB (average) = -37 dB (carrier) ,
Opera-32 dynamic deep search: about -45 dB (average) = -42 dB (carrier),
Opds detector : -48.5 dB (average) = -45.5 dB (carrier), assuming phase coherent transmissions.

Note that the deep search modes produce only correlation detections not decodes

I haven't actually measured the sensitivity of the RN3AUS Opera decoder, but I think it's somewhere between Opera and opds.

Markus

Marcus,
I believe these were popular errors:
2017-03-26 09:06  WE2XPQ  0.137596  -27  -1  BP51ip  10  VK4YB  QG62ku  11138  230

 2017-03-26 10:04  WG2XXM  0.137511  -23  0  EM15lj  5  VK4YB  QG62ku  13442  257

.......
I'm more interested in WSPR15 vs WSPR2 vs OP32 :-)
What are the ideas about this?
My beacon is now working this way:
OP32 - 32min (1 time TX session) ~137.542
WSPR2 - next 13min (5 times TX sessions) ~137.538 - 544
WSPR15 - next 15min (1 timeTX session) ~137.602-603
Total 60min
I believe WSPR15 is better against WSPR2 on LF for long distances in the usual propagation

Thanks Alex!

Interestingly, WSPRnet also reports a number of very-long-distance detections from VK4YB, who heard WG2XXM, WH2XGP, WH2XXP, WI2XBQ, WE2XPQ, WH2XCR across the Pacific today.

Best 73,
Markus
