Chris ,

Are you maintaining the loop Ae , which at the moment is tilted , would the modifications , render it more 'horizontal ?

Q where is the 'star point of the earth system ?

Hello F6CNI,

Thanks Andy, and thanks Rik, excellent info and link, much
appreciated. I may initially keep the vertical well away from the
mast, but future ergonomics would be helped by bringing it nearer to
the mast. For now, when my pulleys arrive, I will see what raising the
corner of the existing loop and heightening the vertical add to my
signal. Cheers.

Best regards,

Hello Chris.

In the year 2000 on LF I had a stell 14 meters mast supporting the top of
the vertical thin wire of my transmitting Inv L antenna.

I tried some distances between the mast and the vertical wire. With close
distance as 50 cm, I had some capacitance added and it had very influence on
the tuning unit, and sure bad result about the antenna efficiency. With 2
meters of spacing or over, all was OK and the mast seems to have very little
influence.

73 Andy.
