Hi All

Yes, yesterday was quieter on 8.9KHz with less catastrophic noise pulses. This meant that although Uwe's signal was less strong than during other tests I was in the catchment area. The low signal level means there are breaks in the line here in both 424uH and 47uHz FFT but I was able to catch some nice periods when the signal in 47uHz was10dB above the noise peaks. I can categorically confirm reception.

Thanks Uwe and (Tom DL8CAT) for the signal.

Hi Markus,
its true, this moment our cat is terrorizing
his neighbor fellows.

Snatches of sunshine here around.

Cat alarm!

Today noise and QRM is very low here, and now there's a clear trace on my grabber
... about 13 dB SNR in 0.47 mHz, and even faintly visible in "600" 3.8 mHz. Better than ever!

May well show up on Eddie's grabber again

Best 73,
Markus (DF6NM)

Hi Jim,

didn't see the cat myself, he was betrayed to me by others

Apparently Uwe's cat's carrier was on air today from 17 to 21 UT, but not this morning. Unfortunately my own grabber is too noisy to catch much of it, except for the odd bright pixel.

73 and good luck,
Markus (DF6NM)

Uwe and Markus,

Was he out from about 02:15 to 03:15? I?m trying to interpret using Markus? grabber.

Hope springs eternal here that with management of natural noise, continuous monitoring and luck I might detect TA signals. I was making receiver modifications for noise mitigation (i.e. receiver off) approximately 01:00 ? 10:00. If I had known that it wasn?t raining at 0200 I would postponed my receiver noise modifications.

I am running multiple windows at different bandwidths (thanks everyone for your previous advice on this) to enhance the chance of detection with arbitrary on/off (rain/dry) periods.
