You've  seen Mals   station  then !

When I worked  at racal  , there  was  a  Rx  on a swiss  mountain  , that  could  be  used  via a  phone  line  , that  was round  1974

sdr-tx  I though  I had found one a  while  back  but it was a  qam  modulated  dongle  ,

Ha ha ha enjoyed that outpouring of indignation. Graham why can't Twente Uni do a Web TX SDR on their RX site so we don't have to do anything. They could buy Switzerland (we could all club together) and put an antenna on the top of the Matterhorn fitted with a huge capacity hat.. To paraphrase Al Pacino ".... sounds big....".

Wish  some  one would  hurry up and  make a  usb dongle  sdt-tx  to  match
the  sdr-rx  , then  I can  put  the  1 meter cube of  equipment  on e-bay
get  my  spare room  back  [ not the  x2 skanti  250w  amps  and  100 amp
psu  though , thats  only  1/2  a  meter 3 ]  that  would  be a  good
article

G,
