Hello Roger,
both QRS as Multitone do use the default soundcard.
Both applications were developed in the Windows 98 area, when a single sound card was standard and USB sound cards not existing -;)
So far I haven't had a request to select the soundcard from within these applications but I am willing to have a look how to implement
this.
At the moment you will have to set the desired sound card as the default. How this is done depend on the operating system.
Recently I modified QRS so that the audio out volume can be set from within the application. I haven't released this version
yet, but I it is useful to you I can send you the beta version.

PS: one more question abot the ground antenna: how long (deep in the ground) were the the ground rods you used?
Thanks for replies so far, but I am still unable to see how to output a QRSS audio tone e.g. from QRS or Multitone software to an
external audio card like SignaLink USB when using a laptop with only USB interfaces. It seems quite a simple requirement so am surprised not to find this supported.
OK I could built an audio derived PTT keyer using the line out, but it would be so much simpler to use the SignaLink USB interface for all data modes and, as far as I can see, there is no software to support this. I am excluding Spectrum Laboratory, which I'm
afraid I find very hard to use and remember how to use!
Help!
