OK Wolf, thanks.

Is this still on your todo list? :-) Recently i got a screenshot from someone and saw that there is a "stream out" box in the right top corner of the components window. Haven't seen that so far and thought now i can connect L5 to this box and take it from there someone in the world.

Ogg/Vorbis, that is another world that i haven't yet discovered. Other projects, you know...

Hi Stefan,

In principle, SL can send and received compressed audio (using Ogg/Vorbis) through a raw TCP/IP connection. This is what we use on VLF to feed audio to Paul Nicholson's site. But I wouldn't call this an audio web stream; it's just a point-to-point connection which needs an external 'broadcaster' to spread it to multiple listeners. In analog radio terms, SL can only act as the 'feeder', but not a powerful 'broadcaster'.

Cheers,
  Wolf .
