Hi Roelof will try to answer ALL the question this thing :-))
There can be a latitude dependent delay. Stations like Laurence KL1X and Scott VE7TIL will see the effect almost immediately it can take a day of more sometimes to affect more southerly paths. I have plots of an impact just before sunset and a slow returning (to normal) signal level at 5dB per hour. (I think this may be an indication of the steady decay of the hot electrons during the darkness period)

Hello Alan (G3NYK),

Looking at the Kyoto website and my NAVTEX log on 518 kHz, there is clearly a strong correlation between Dst values around 0 and good T/A reception.

I wonder if a significant drop in the Dst value is followed by an immediate change in propagation, or that there is some time lag?
