Subject: LF: Right to vote in France (was
  RE: Special Research Permit extension)

Pete, Mall,

I am an EU citizen but not a French Citizen, so I don't get to vote in
the forthcoming election. Nor do I get to vote in the equivalent of District
or Parliamentary elections. When I asked about the latter I was told “not
  yet”.

The Mairie tells me I can vote in the European Parliament elections, in
the equivalent of parish council elections, and in one or two minor
  things.
