Hi Toni this is like the old days :-)) nice to have a chance to chat again.

My thought is how far could you get say a loop away from the vertical?? if
it must be quite close you will need to detune the vertical during receiving
on the other antenna. When the boys here used the Decca mast they needed a
big attenuator (40dB ish) just to lkill the noise so it didn not overpower
the receiver front end. I think a couple of other stations using
"commercial" antennas have had the same problem. Plus the fact that if they
have warning lights the chokes in the supply to the lights doent give much
impedance at 136, might be ok at 500 but propably still a bit on the low
side as that sounds like a MW mast ??
