When I first heard about Natural Radio I also came to the schematic of the BBB-4. The problem: There is a special transformer from Radio Shack that makes the high L. But which type exactly? So I took four standard coils in series to make the high L. The BBB-4 was working, but with a very high noise level, even with low noise transistors. Before I could fix the problem I got a PCB (AS 069) from the AATIS (a german club that is highly engaged bringing ham radio and electronics to schools). I build that "Sferics RX" and its still in use and doing a great job. The PCB is still in stock at http://www.aatis.de/content/baus%C3%A4tze/lieferbar/men%C3%BCseite. I am not member of AATIS. But to me the AS 069 is the better choice than the BBB-4. Horst DO1KHS/DI2AN
