Hallo Kevin.

Did you get any response on your request concerning the IC-718 sending below 1.6 MHz?
I also do have one and I also do like to get the 718 working on 500 kHz.

These days I 'm using the good old T-1154 on 502 kHz, but is drifting down below the 501 kHz (Our limit in the Netherlands).

During evening hours (in PAo) you often can hear me via Delft University WebSDR.
If on air, my call PAoLCE is on the screen.

I hope that you have got good answers on blacksheep.org.

Hello all,

Despite reference to the usual sources I cannot persuade my IC718 to transmit below 1600 kHz. I believe that operation is possible down to 300 kHz. or so but have yet to find the recipe. All of the appropriate diodes have been removed with the exception of D48. The machine performs well anywhere between 1.6 and 30 MHz. Any advice would be appreciated.

On the other hand, my IC706 Mk2 can deliver a few watts at 500 kHz and a useful watt or two at 136 kHz. Stability is more than adequate for QRSS3.

In passing, I have been following Stefan's efforts from the other side of the earth. His dedication to the VLF cause must be an inspiration to all.
