about the E-MU 0202...
There is a message in the driver package talking about a "hot
switching" issue, which seems to happen at system boot up.
It can be solved by manually switching it off and again on with the
headphone level control at the front.
It is not a great deal, but it should be nice if this problem could be
solved otherwise.
Do you or anybody else on this list know of a decent work arround?
This is interesting .. just a few hours ago I discussed the same issue
with a ham radio fellow who also experienced this problem with his E-MU
0202. He encounters it with the WSJT software, but it doesn't have
anything to do with the application... it's more a driver problem.
Strangely, I also use the E-MU myself on a 'similar' computer (Thinkpad
Z61m running Win XP) and *never* had this problem even though I
frequently use the E-MU. The card is always turned on when booting up
(maybe this makes the difference). The driver date as reported in the
windoze system control is 12.04.2006 (presumably day.month.year), driver
version 5.12.1.12 . I ususally run it at 96 or 192 kHz sampling rate,
using the ASIO driver.
